Hip Dips

Is liposuction a solution for the famous Hip Dips?

Over the last months a lot has been said about the Hip Dips, which are those inward curves found below many women’s hips. Additionally, we can say that they are naturally formed according to the shape of the pelvis.

There has been a lot of talk about this topic on social media such as Instagram and Tiktok, since this feature of hips does not allow you to have that perfect curvature desired in this area. However, we must consider that Hip Dips should not be a reason for serious problems or embarrassment.

Why do only some women have Hip Dips?

Having these indentations in the hips has morphological and genetic causes, given that if a mother has Hip Dips, it is very probable that her daughter may inherit it. In addition, their appearance is also due to anatomical features such as the width of the hips, size of the greater trochanter, length of the femoral neck, among others.

Does reducing body fat reduce Hip Dips appearance slightly?

Losing body fat through diet and exercise can increase muscle mass in the buttocks and this slightly reduces Hip Dips. However, it must be clear that bones cannot be changed and therefore it is best to accept our bone structure as it is.

Can the appearance of the Hip Dips be changed?

If you are still thinking that the best thing for you is to eliminate the Hip Dips, as you want to show off more defined curves, you could opt for liposuction, as this plastic surgery will eliminate the localized fat in the hip area and thus reduce the appearance of the indentations.

However, Hip Dips should not be a problem.

Although you can reduce their appearance with a lipo, we must insist that body contouring should not be a problem to feel insecure, because these indentations can actually look quite nice and can be shown off with pride.
